Uniting Climate conference Saturay May 11 in person or online.  “Faith in a better future: Organising for climate action”. See information on the Notice Board.

Community Connect day 22 May at our church: Everyone in the community and surrounding areas is invited to attend. There is no admission fee and the displays will be very interesting to people from our area. Also, we have organised a speaker program.

As part of the overall day, we will have two tables and we need volunteers to work on those tables during the day. They will feature activities that we have at our church and are meant to entice people to come along and participate.  Also, we will be hosting a tea/coffee and scones station and a sausage sizzle so there will be plenty to share on the day.  The event is a very important one as it is an opportunity for us to welcome people to our church and its facilities, to engage with the community, to gain some information relevant to services and support available to people in our community. Hopefully, also it will enable us to make a little bit of money during the day.

Please put this date into your calendars and come along to support this great (and big!) event that we are working on with the Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre.

Denise Weir would welcome any volunteer offers on 0407 934 001.

It’s Worth a Thought

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

1 Peter 1:3

A devotion from “Jesus Calling – Enjoying peace in His Presence”  by Sarah Young

Trust Me and don’t be afraid. Many things feel out of control. Your routines are not running smoothly.  You tend to feel more secure when your life is predictable. Let Me lead you to the rock that is higher than you and your circumstances.  Take refuge in the shelter of My wings, where you are absolutely secure.

When you are shaken out of your comfortable routines, grip My hand tightly and look for growth opportunities.  Instead of bemoaning the loss of your comfort, accept the challenge of something new.  I lead you from glory to glory, making you fit for My kingdom. Say yes to the ways I work in your life.  Trust Me and don’t be afraid.
